As discussed last class, Spotify is a platform many of us use to listen to music. I tend to stick with playlists I created as I liked listening to music that is familiar to me. I often listen to songs until I'm sick of them. That said, I value Spotify's "Top Songs" playlist as I am often out of the loop. This playlist helps me keep up to date with my friends considering my preferred music does not generate these type of songs (rap, pop, remixes). I can get a taste of what is current while having the comfort of relying on my personal playlists.

I am taking this course because it sounds very interesting and is something that I like learning about. I enjoyed the first year communication courses that discussed media, technology and culture. This course feels like a continuation of the first year course and will be more enticing as I have a better understanding of the content/ history. I am open to any ideas for my group project and hope that I learn new things.
